We've been working with comdirect for over 2 years on projects for many parts of the business.

Web revamp

A new look
The main site had been in place since before the launch of comdirect and the company's offer and customer base had expanded considerably. The dealing platform had been relaunched and a revamp of the rest of the site was in order. GreenEgg was asked to refresh the look and feel of site as part of this work.

Considerations
comdirect's customers are mainly experienced investors and unlikely to be impressed with flashy graphics. Straightforwardness and clarity were key requirements.

We needed to harmonise with the design of new dealing site and, since new services are launched regularly, the design needed to be scalable.We also had to provide the maximum value for the client with a limited budget.

What we did
We felt we could add most value by creating style guidelines specifying fonts, colours and other design elements and by illustrating their use in the overall navigation and for various types of page.

We also produced a set of HTML stylesheets and templates to build from, and we advised and guided the developers throughout the implementation.

Ongoing support
We continue to work on design and usability across the comdirect web service. For instance, we've recently done user interface design for comdirect's streaming live prices application.

Marketing materials

We support and add value to comdirect's on and offline marketing activity quickly and cost-effectively. We've designed brochures, online banner ads, customer account cards and stands for events. Our understanding of the brand and the business, and our good working relationship with the marketing team means we deliver successful results - helping comdirect to become one of the largest online broker in the UK.


New business support

comdirect also provides dealing services for clients of other institutions. We've designed and produced brochures, web demos and presentations for pitches and responses to tender. Our work visualises and articulates to potential partners how the new service will look and function. This helps make the future benefits more concrete.
